Blanca Delgado (Tochtli Citlali) is a traditional healer, cultural artist, and specialist in alternative economies. She is decedent from Mexican migrants, mixed indigenous artists and cultural entrepreneurs. Her work reflects the philosophies of indigenous cosmologies: it is woven throughout all she does, everyday. Her thoughts, speech and actions are processes of world building and collective transformation.
Blancas’s work often takes the form of integrating cultural work towards cultural revival, the development of alternative economies and land rematriation.
She is a steward of indigenous heritage and ancestral cosmologies through the Uto-Aztecan tradition. Her knowledge as a song singer and movement maker is received through her maternal bloodline. Her work serves the moon, the water, the Mother Earth in the Rio Grande Valley, and all the communities that protect these energies.
